Shortly after Ginny had joined Hermione at the Slughorn estate, life didn’t look so gloom any longer. Just like Hermione had the young Weasley girl be at once impregnated by her new owner. Unlike Hermione, she seems to accept her new fate much easier, and was also able to convince their owner to let them share a room with two modest beds and some other furniture, too.
Surprisingly Sluggy yielded to his younger slave’s wishes, as she seems to know how to keep the older girl on a tight leash. Since she had joined them, Hermione hadn’t even tried to rebel or to fight back any longer. Therefore some more leeway could be granted, as the house elves had confirmed that both girls were expecting a male child. Two heirs for his legacy, which would explain his good mood.
Too bad for Sluggy, that he was utterly wrong. The 2 girls hadn’t submitted to him, because they accepted their fate. On the contrary, but since they’ve been reunited, they started to share dreams, that they would be saved by a handsome rogue, who called himself Greebo.
But who could this be, this mysterious rogue, who chased them through their dreams? Well, it may surprise you to learn, that it was Crookshanks. Those ignorant wixen had no idea, that he belonged to a special breed of half-kneazles. Many many generations ago had a rift opened between this earth and the Discworld. Nanny Ogg’s cat Greebo had decided to explore and sired some kitten with numerous cats and Kneazles. He did then return home quickly, before the rift could seal itself for good. As due to his long stay with Nanny Ogg and her coven of Lancre witches, he had an excellent instinct in regards to magic.
Crookshanks had been one of his descendants, who was able to easily switch between human and Half-Kneazle or should he wish it, even a third form, a cat-human hybrid. Of course, those ignorant British wixen had no idea, that he and his brethren still exist. Which suited them quite well.
Following his sire’s wish to create an everlasting cat dynasty in Britain, Crookshanks had during the first weekend in Gryffindor tower began to secretly mark the two underage girls, that would be chosen to bear his future children. After all, his foolish mistress had already turned herself once into a human-cat hybrid, a better sign of fate wasn’t feasible! The youngest Weasley was also his, due to her family being so foolish to allow themselves being duped for years by a rat!
Still in his cat body had the journey taken him much longer than originally planned, but now he was near Slughorn’s estate, and soon, he would kill the fat wizard, and as the ancient laws of magic allows it the victor gets the spoils. He may even allow his witches to carry their first pregnancy to full term, as he wasn’t a mindless brute.
Hermione and Ginny shared once again the bed, since their pregnancies had progressed, they seems to need more empathy and were drawn to each other. During their dreams, they had started to purr, and now and then their ears had stared to turn into cat ears, but turned back, anytime Slughorn checked on them.
Sluggy did enjoy an opulent meal, his elves were always kept busy, but none of them were able to refuse a single order, without fearing harsh punishments! His two young pregnant slaves had accept a lighter meal, but they didn’t dare to ask for more. Neither Hermione, nor Ginny wanted to go back into the cage or having once more to eat from food bowls on the floor.
Crookshanks purred, due to his bond with the two lovely young witches, the wards let him pass. Those arrogant wixen had no idea, that this could be their downfall! He entered the estate and followed his nose to the dining hall. There was his victim, gorging himself on rich food, his wand not in reach. Such a fool!
Jumping into the air, Crookshanks turned into his human form, where he resembles his infamous sire Greebo, at his most dashing swashbuckler days. Before any of the elves or Horace had a chance to react, did Greebo slit the fat wizard’s throat with his rapier, and then pierced his heart and his lungs with his rapier, too.
Magic lightning illuminated Crookshanks’ face, before he growled, that the elves had to burn the corpse and not to speak with anyone about this incident, less they want to share Slughorn’s fate. The house elves bowed and obeyed, nobody wants to lose their lives.
As soon as the corpse had been cremated and the estate been taken over by Crookshanks did he give his next orders. The whole estate had been put on lockdown, a message will be send to Gringotts to ensure that a Goblin confirms the new owner, before the Ministry can get his greedy hands on the Slughorn fortune.
“Bring me my brides!” ordered Crookshanks, and a young house elf bowed, before waking the two teenager witches.
Both tiredly rubbed their eyes, before following the elf to the dining hall.
“Hello, my lovely brides. Don’t you want to greet your husband!”, teased them Crookshanks.
Hermione and Ginny exchanged a baffled look, before carefully walking to his side, their ears turning into cat ears, and happy purring filled the air.
“Hush, my lovelies. All will be well. The bad wizard can’t harm you any longer. This estate is now ours. And I give you a choice, do you want me to change the paternity of the babe, that you carry or not? It can be easily done!”
“We will leave that decision to you, strong powerful Crookshanks!”, replied the two girls.
“Excellent answer. I will grant you permission to consider your options until you’ve reached the second trimester, and then ask you again. Do not forget, that after those children are born, I will be the only one who sires your children.”, reminded them Crookshanks.
“How were you able to free us from the bad wizard, Crookshanks?”, inquire Hermione.
“That was easy, due to our bond, those wards allowed me to enter, and he was much too arrogant to believe anyone could attack him at his home. He didn’t even has his wand in reach. His corpse is already cremated, and nobody will disturb our family life, as only the Goblins will be informed about the truth.”, answered Crookshanks.
Together they did ensure a hearty meal, and afterwards ordered Crookshanks the house elves to eat their fill, before the rest will be put under stasis. No need to let anything go to waste!
On the next morning at 9am appeared a Gringotts Goblin, sneered at the distasteful décor, before meeting the new lord of the manor. Thanks to the old laws, Crookshanks inherited everything after murdering Slughorn in cold blood! From this day onward they would be known as Lord Greebo C. Dagworth and Duke of Lancre. Hermione and Ginny would not longer be viewed as slaves, but as his lawfully bonded wives. His two titles allowed him to have multiple wives.
The Goblins would certainly not inform the Ministry about the unlucky fate of the late Horace Slughorn. The Goblin wished him a joyful honeymoon and suggested a trip to Gringotts after the successful birth of their family heirs. Crookshanks agreed, that this would be for the best, before advising the elves to change the décor to suit his and his wives taste.
Should they behave well, and not infuriate their husband, then Hermione and Ginny will have a luxurious life, without having to answer to anyone outside their estate any longer. The two young witches seem no longer have any interest in the outside world. As long as their strong powerful master was with them, all was well.
Hermione would be allowed to brew or to read in the library, after fulfilling her duties as a dutiful wife. Ginny would be allowed to get the latest Quidditch racing broom and studying for her own OWLs, as Crookshanks was adamant, that he hadn’t married dunderheads and expect them to get good grades under their new names.
Nobody would bother to disturb their idyll, before the children have been born, as this was the deal Slughorn had made with his allies. Too bad for them, that Crookshanks had already planned to murder anyone, who dares to enter his estate without proper invitation. Or maybe he should just allow the Goblins to check their wards and add new dangerous war wards to take his enemies out, without them being any wiser!
